Multi Trades Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to work on behalf of an established contractor specialising in electrical installations and maintenance within industrial and factory environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and proactive electrician who is confident working independently or as part of a team, delivering high-quality electrical installation, testing and maintenance services across various client sites.

The successful candidate must have previous experience working within factory or industrial environments and be comfortable undertaking customer-facing work.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out electrical installations, maintenance and repairs within industrial and factory environments.
Undertake three-phase electrical installations and associated electrical works.
Install 240V sockets, lighting systems and other electrical equipment.
Conduct routine lighting inspections and checks.
Carry out RCD testing and inspections.
Complete PAT testing when required.
Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently and safely.
Work independently or alongside other electricians and maintenance teams.
Liaise professionally with customers and site representatives.
Ensure all electrical work complies with current health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Travel to client sites as required to complete scheduled maintenance and installation work.

Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent – Essential.
Apprenticeship-trained electrician – Essential.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations – Essential.
IPAF qualification – Required.
Previous experience working in factory or industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of three-phase electrical systems and installations.
Experience with electrical testing, fault finding and maintenance.
Ability to work independently and use own initiative.
Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude.
Flexible approach to working hours, including longer days and occasional weekends.

Working Hours & Pay:

Standard working hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Working days will regularly extend to approximately 10–12 hours, including travel time.
Some weekend working will be required depending on operational requirements.
£20.00 – £23.00 per hour PAYE, dependent on experience and qualifications.
Immediate start available for the right candidate.
